How is Go Abroad China’s Internship Program different from other competitors’ programs?

  • Go Abroad China provides paid internships for program participants, e.g. with the average cost of living in Shanghai higher than many other cities here, most internship companies will provide a stipend. The exact amount varies on a company-to-company basis, your work position within that company, amount of work and your work performance.
  • Go Abroad China tries to find the most suitable internship position for you depending on your educational background, past work experience and other specific requirements. Alternate arrangements can be made should you find yourself not satisfied after the program begins.
  • Go Abroad China staff is available 24 hours a day and is fluent in both English and Mandarin.
  • Go Abroad China regularly holds networking and social events, as well as offer cultural electives
  • Some of our competitors do not include accommodation, travel, or even visa assistance. While these programs may be cheaper, but by not going for an all-inclusive service such as ours, you increase the chances of encountering problems, which may affect your internship experience.
  • Business culture and language training ensure that your culture shock is minimized as much as possible, helping you adjust faster.

Is the internship program open to all nationalities?

Our programs are open to applicants of all nationalities.

How do I apply to this program?

Please click here for details about the application procedure.

When is the deadline for an application?

We recommend applicants to allow at least one month of lead time for us to find the most suitable placement as well as provide logistical assistance. It is advised that you leave at least one week for the processing of your visa. Late application is still possible; please email inquiry@goabroadchina.com for more info.

We also ensure that your supervisor is also fluent in English to not only help mentor you for the duration of your internship program, but also to provide structure and support throughout your work experience.

Which company will I work for?

Go Abroad China arranges internship placements at both multi-national firms and Chinese companies. We match you with a company relevant to your study or previous professional experience; we discuss with all applicants about their areas of interest or expertise then formalize the most suitable position with the applicant’s specific requirements.

What duration of time for the internship program is ideal for me?

The length of the internship can be chosen according to your wishes, ranging from 1 to 12 months. However, internships for just one or two months are rare, as most companies usually prefer interns to work for at least 3 months. Applicants who intern for 3 months or longer tend to get the most out of their experience, and we believe that just 1 month might be too short to merge a successful experience for both you and the internship company. Prices vary according to the length of stay and details can be found in our dates/fees section.
